Two Options for Continuing Visits Continuous Improvement Transformation Initiatives

Address each standard as a whole Choose a standard in which the

unit is moving toward target level Exhibit room is entirely virtual

Unit will self assess itself against the target level of one or more standards

Respond to each standard as a whole not each element

Transformation Initiative

Engagement in an initiative for self-improvement and contribution to the improvement and reform of the profession, including learning in P-12 schools

Examples: Validity studies of assessments, induction and mentoring, use of formative assessments to improve student learning

Must be reviewed by offsite BOE team to determine eligibility

Unit must clearly show that it has been engaged in continuous improvement since the last visit and continues to meet standards
