WHAT IS ORIGINAL SIN?

Did original sin happen at one point in history?

Does original sin continue to exist to this day?

Is original sin “washed away” during the Sacrament of Baptism?

Do we need to confess our original sin?

In our hearts, we sometimes find it easier to hate or to not bother to love.

Original Sin

Refers to both the sinful act committed by our first parents, whom we know from the Bible as Adam and Eve, and the sinful state or condition resulting from their sinful act.

The historical first sin ever committed by our first parents; the sin “that started it all”
