Subpart B –

PBN

GM1-SPA.PBN.100 PBN operations

Two kinds of navigation specifications: Area Navigation

(RNAV) and Required Navigation Performance (RNP)

RNP specification includes a requirement to have an on-

board performance monitoring and alerting system

An RNAV specification does not have such requirement

RNAV and RNP performance is expressed by the total

system error (TSE).

The TSE should remain equal to or less than the required

accuracy expected to be achieved at least 95% of the

flight time.

b. Oceanic/Remote, RNP4

c. RNAV5 (B-RNAV)

d. RNAV2 (only used in USA)

e. RNAV1 (P-RNAV)

f. Basic-RNP1 (framtida användning)

g. RNP APCH

h. RNP AR APCH (ex. ESSA 01R kurvad)

Each RNP AR approach requires a special approval.
