Book Jacket
“ Brave New World” is a novel about a util itarian society that practices social stability. The inhabitants of this world are predetermined to occupy a cer tain caste. Each class is also conditioned physically, mentally and emotionally to live in the community. This book jacket reflects the immoral aspects of the world by showing infants on a conveyor belt being mass produced l ike car par ts. The typography references to the novel ’s vocabular y being brainwashed into each child. This teaches them to function properly in the society for the goal of communal happiness, no matter the ethical cost.

Aldous Huxley
The astonishing novel Brave New World,
originally published in 1932, presents
Aldous Huxley’s vision of the future—of
a world utterly transformed. Through the
most efficient scientific and psychologi-
cal engineering, people are genetically
designed to be passive and therefore
consistently useful to the ruling class.
This powerful work of speculative fiction
sheds a blazing critical light on the present
and is considered to be Aldous Huxley’s
most enduring masterpiece.

Praise for Brave New World“Mr. Huxley is eloquent in his declaration of an artist’s faith in man, and it is his eloquence, bitter in attack, noble in defense, that, when one has closed the book, one remembers.”
—Saturday Review of Literature
“It is as sparkling, as provocative, as brilliant, in the appropriate sense, as impressive as the day i t was publ ished. This remained s u r p r i s i n g l y c o n t e m p o r a r y, b o t h i n i t s particular forecasts and in its general tone of semiserious alarm. But it is much more because the book succeeds as a work of art. . .This is surely Huxley ’s best book.”

Playing Cards
The deck of cards is a retro meets Wild West theme. The blocks of color poke through each silhouette making them pop and putting a twist on the average set of western cards. Texture was added to the silhouettes to give it a worn look along with a stained paper background.
