Our local area already collects some recycling from our

homes

paperglass, tins and garden waste

We are lucky to have 2 recycling

centres in our village

already do

in our school

We have been encouraging our

students to recycle by visiting

the local recycling area

Reception used recycled materials

Year 1 made some posters to

encourage more people to recycle

And reused waste packaging to make models

Year 2 brought in used packaging

from home and visited the recycling centre

They discussed what happens to the rubbish

when the containers are emptied and made posters

Year 4 thought about recycling

and created their own

recycling superhero posters

Year 5 used their ICT time to research

water and produced a leafletto encourage people to be careful about how much

they use

Year 6 also researched water and made their own

fliers to encouragepeople to think aboutways they can save or

reuse water

We sent some of these projectshome to encourage the

students parents to recycle and others were

displayed around the school

and in the local area

We thought about ways of recycling,

reducing and reusingmaterials and resources to

encourage the next generation

to look after the environment
