I also undertake Academic-Industry Interface for the placements and training of the students with leading industries. Courses taught: Spectroscopy, synthetic dyes, Natural Products chemistry, medicinal chemistry and Practical. The course numbers are PS03CORC01, PS03CORC04, PS03CORC05,
PS03CORC06, PS03ECHE01, PS04CORC02, and PS04ECHE01.Major project UGC: A project of worth 12 lacs for the Extraction, isolation and semi-synthesis of Etoposide (anti-neoplastic) has been sanctioned as research grant for consecutive three years.Recent Science UK Project: Proposal for conducting the research on anti-hypertensive and sedative drug namely Vincamine worth of US$ 50,000 has been sent for an International partnership during the academic year 2013-14.NAAC: I am the Convenor of the same committee for meeting the academic compliances as per the guidelines.

Pedagogy: LCD, animations are utilized for best explaining the various courses for the understandings of learning students. Regular assignments and tests are conducted for evaluating the performance of students.
Past endeavours: I have worked as Professor of Organic Chemistry and Natural Products with LPU. As research guide supervising students for synthesizing value added products. I am also member of board of studies, research consultant on advisory board of university and Placement officer.
Research guide: two dissertations of MSc students on extraction and synthesis of Galanthamine and semi-synthesis of rifabutin. MSc (Hons). 1 student guided for synthesis of Parsol (Avobenzone). Varsity got recognized for PhD in the year 2010-11.
Research paper: As professor and consultant a project guided to a pharmaceutical company accepted for presentation at 14th IBS at Italy, Rimini titled “Synthesis of Thiocolchicine from colchicine and there by its biotransformation using Bacillus megatarium to Drug”.
Board of studies member: I have involved in suggesting the best and suitable curriculum for academic support.
Member of central audit (ETP): As a member I was responsible for suggesting and advising the technical methods of degrading the chemical and biochemical laboratory wastes as per the pollution control norms laid by the board.
Industrial R&D projects: Galactomannans based products was synthesized and commercialized for Lubrizol/noveons and patented. Deproteination was successfully done and isolated protein characterized. Self life, colour, quality, and compatibility were enhanced to be accepted by P&G.
Active pharmaceutical ingredients like Thiocolchicoside, Methscopolamine Nitrate, Hyoscine butyl bromide, Taxol and Podophyllum glucoside was researched and commercialized. International audits attended, QA related jobs handled along with DMF design. Well acquainted with GMP, FDA, US FDA and regulatory affairs. Polymorphism and BA, BE.
Organic chemicals developed employing catalytic hydrogenation using selective and non-selective catalysts up to batch scale including entire process parameters along with chemical kinetics. Natural product chemistry based research and isolation and purification of ingredients there from. Prototype batch scale isolation and purification of 3-Demethylcolchicine synthesizing derivatives there from.
Synthetic and natural polymer products researched. Expert in bringing down the process cost and implemented as fool proof process. Process for Deformylation was successfully invented and implemented on colchicoside and thiocolchicoside. The side chain and coupling synthesis was undertaken.
I have proven capabilities as Manger R&D and senior scientist R&D with required team leading management skills and achieving the aim and targets for the companies.
Current research interests: Drug design and clinical trials (in-vivo, in-vitro), biotransformation, biosimilars, solid phase synthesis.
