• Structure that sets out and defines each individualcompetency required by individuals working in anorganisation.

• WHY:

• HOW:- set of skills and job profiles in PP- a self-assessment tool- sets of generic training curricula

Project 1: European Competency Framework for PP (ECF)

Project 2: Training for SME-friendly policies in Central Purchasing Bodies

WHAT:

Central Purchasing Bodies, as aggregators of public purchasing, drive professionalism in buying organisations.

WHY:

• Central purchasing bodies are well established in some Member States, while others are only beginning to consider

HOW:

- training course for staff working in CPBs

- teaching by practitioners from established CPBs and academicsfrom prominent universities

- Managed by BBG, Austrian CPB at Federal level and Wien University

Project 3: Improving SMEs access to PP, especially cross-border

WHAT:

- information on procurement in different MS

- training and advisory services to SMEs

- business-to-procurers events

- partner-finding support

Project 4: Promote social aspects in PP for social economy enterprises

WHAT:

- Workshops in 15 MS to raise awareness of contracting authorities and suppliers

- Promote pursuing social objectives through PP
