What is Public Realm?Refers to all areas to which the public has access (such as roads, streets, lanes, parks, squares and bridges and open spaces). This includes the publicly available space between buildings, along with the spaces and the buildings or other structures that enclose them.

CONCLUSION

• Equal access to public green space (parks an open spaces) is a right and not a privilege;

• Successful public realm adds significant social, economical and environmental impacts to create a modern society;

• Proper planning and design needs to be considered in consultation with community, local government, various government agencies and the private business sector;

• Awareness and education on the potential of good public realm is important.
