Label Inspection

• Verification of o MRP,MFG date ,Batch number etc.o Check the position of labels to identify

packaging defects

• In examples shown MRP, MFG date, batch no are verifiedo Defects Such as missing/partial or

smudged print can be detected in the assembly line

o Incorrect characters can also be detected using Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

Sorting• Vision systems are used in

various sorting applications.• Products are sorted based on

various parameters such as dimensional attributes , color, texture, coding etc.

• This is mainly done before packaging so as to ensure the right contents go into the right box and to eliminate product mix-up.

Blister Pack Inspection• Tablets counting in the blister packing

machine.• Presence and absence of tablet in the

strips.• Inspection of broken tablets • Inspection of mixing of objects in the

product or the blister

Packaging Quality

• Visions systems can be used to check the quality of packaging

• Inspection of a lotion tube.• The vision system checks for

the presence of cap , the tube is filled properly or not and whether the sealing is done correctly or not.

• Presence of tamper proof seal• Checks proper application and

presence of the tamper proof seal

Track and Trace• Serialized lot codes are

generated and printed on the container labels

• Vision system can read the code and verify the content that it matches printed text

• Can read both 1d and 2d codes

• Can verify code readability• Data that is read can be

stored in the Database or on a remote server for traceability
