With a thematic focus on “Gender and Gender-Based Violence”, the 5th Conference of StatesParties to the ATT (CSP5) affords an idealopportunity to discuss efforts and strategiestowards the effective implementation of thegender-based violence (GBV) criteria in the ArmsTrade Treaty (ATT). This side event seeks to shareinformation and outcomes from the Central andEastern European Regional Training on the GBVCriteria in the ATT with the view of fosteringfurther engagement and cooperation towards thedevelopment and implementation of thisprovision. Participants from the regional trainingwill share lessons learned as well as challengesand questions for further consideration, whiletraining facilitators will discuss the curriculumand materials used to facilitate an in-depthunderstanding of the GBV criteria in the ATT.
