Key Areas of Competency
• The employer will look at your resume for about 30 seconds, if they do not like what they see in your summary, they will not move forward
• List your soft skills (organization, communication, reliability, etc.)
• Previous experience that links to where you are applying
• Languages you speak if you speak more than English
• Technical skills, which can include computer related items, certifications like CPR, first aid, etc.

Organize your points to your liking and to what you feel is stronger
Showcase yourself- there is no shame in it !

Tailoring to a Job Ad
Look for keywords of appropriate industry language to use in your resume
All job ads explain what the employer is looking for, so use that and incorporate it in your resume
