Brand Profile Richland Rum is a trademark of the Richland Distilling Company

Rum was America’s spirit of choice long before Bourbon or Whisky.

In the 1700’s, rum distilleries thrived in New England more than a century ahead of the emergence of Bourbon

in the late 1800’s. Then, Scotch boomed, followed by Bourbon, Rye and Single Malt.

Today, there is a Rum Renaissance. Fine, aged Rums, made from syrup - not molasses -

are worthy of sipping slowly and are coming back, savored for their beautiful complexity and uniquely rich aromas.

Award Winning Richland Rum is handcrafted from pure sugarcane – including cane grown at the

proprietor’s Estate ‘Vennebroeck’ in Richland, Georgia - and natural water from the Georgia Aquifer, as the only

ingredients. Sourcing and processing of cane syrup, fermentation, distilling, aging and ultimately bottling are all handled

in house, or Field To Glass, creating a magnificent SINGLE ESTATE RUM.

“we are so excited to see how the come back

of the ‘once & future king of spirits’ – authentic rum –

is broadly celebrated, not only among rum connoisseurs,

but increasingly by bourbon, scotch and cognac aficionados”

The roots of the business date back to 1999,

the first year sugar cane was planted on the proprietor’s estate ‘VENNEBROECK’

near Richland

in beautiful SW Georgia.

‘VENNEBROECK’ - Dutch for ‘ponds & brooks’ –

is the founding location of the Richland Distilling Company and source of Richland Rum’s estate cultivated sugar cane

and pure water from the Georgia Aquifer.

Artisan control of all processes – from Field to Glass –

make Richland Rum of rare ‘Single Estate’ quality

The Field to Glass approach has enabled the crafters of Richland Rum to develop unique and distinctive characteristics,

only found in aged spirits of very rare quality.

End to end in-house control over the entire creation process

is one of the distinguishing features of Richland Rum.

Richland Distilling Company as ‘Almost Rum®’.

Increasingly popular, Almost Rum®’. is used by prominent chefs in marinades, glazes and pastries

In 2011

the Distillery was relocated from Vennebroeck to the nearby City of Richland

to help with the economic revival of the rural town.

Richland is located 2 hours South of Atlanta, GA

The Richland Distilling Company

is one of only a few distilleries in the entire United States

solely dedicated to

hand-crafting Rum

from pure cane syrup.

14

Slow, low temperature fermentation of pure syrup

– without any molasses or processed sugars –

in open fermenters using a proprietary yeast strain establishes the foundation of

Richland Rum’s complex, yet balanced flavor and aroma profiles.

copper pot stills

The Company deploys two 1,000 Liter all copper, gas fired Pot Stills, hand built in Portugal.

The two Stills are ‘played’ every day,

as if they were musical instruments.

Their performance is experienced each day as a joy!

the distillery

Every distilling run’s ‘cuts’ in ‘Foreshots, ‘Heads’, ‘Hearts’ and ‘Tails’

are always made manually

based on taste, aroma and clarity in combination with temperature readings and alcohol content.

Quality is never compromised.

the barrel house

Virgin American oak barrels, toasted and charred to specification, pamper Richland Rum to maturity.

Barrels are always bottled individually: Richland Rum is strictly of single barrel quality.

Once emptied, the barrels are passed on to the Terrapin Beer Company

for aging of special beer editions branded as Richland Rum Barrel Aged Beer.

Ultimately, the barrels are used for promotional purposes at POS locations.

18

‘Single Barrel’ distinction:

Richland Rum is aged in virgin American Oak barrels.

After maturing for at least 18 months, single barrels are selected to be bottled individually.

Barrels are never re-used for aging Richland Rum
