ORIGINS
Began as a Regional 40 Meter net based in Chicago, IL
First SATERN Net in June, 1988, following the SAROF Net.
Began by Carl Lindstrom, W9JSF, over 40 years ago as SAROF– Salvationist Amateur Radio Operators Fellowship
Evolved into a national and international net on 20 meters
Later, SAROF became Salvation Army Radio Operators Fellowship
