Part 1:

Part 1: Installing IBM Lotus Domino V7.0.2

Step 1: Extract the files and begin setup.exe

Step 2: Be welcomed by the Welcome screen

Step 3: Click “I accept” if you agree to the terms.

Step 4: Choose an installation directory

Step 5: Put the data directory in the Domino program directory

Step 6: Choose the Domino Enterprise Server installation option for Lotus Sametime

Step 7: Check installation

Step 8: Watch each file copy

Step 9: Finish

Part 2:

Configuring Lotus Domino 7.0.2 for Lotus Sametime

Step 10: Start Lotus Domino and choose the "Start Domino as a Windows service" option

Step 11: Allow yourself to be welcomed

Step 12: Choose the "Set up the first server or a stand-alone server" option

Step 13: Specify a server name. A short name is acceptable

Step 14: Choose an organizational name and password

Most LDAP servers allow anonymous binding; however, Microsoft Active Directory and Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM) usually require a fully qualified name.

This filter allows authentication with name, email address, or unique ID. An attribute in LDAP for the Lotus Sametime server is not required.

Part 4:

Running IBM Lotus Sametime 7.5.1

Step 43: Start the Lotus Sametime Server

Start the Lotus Domino server. Lotus Sametime starts automatically. If you see the "Sametime Server: Running" message on the Domino server console, then Lotus Sametime is running properly.

Step 44: Display the Lotus Sametime client

In a Web browser, enter your Lotus Sametime server URL using the format http://servername.domain.com/stcenter.nsf. The Lotus Sametime welcome page should display.

Step 45: Log in and test your connection

1. Log in and go to the Attend a Meeting page.

2. Click the Test Meeting link.

3. Click the Test My Browser button to verify that Lotus Sametime is working properly.

Step 46: Download the Meeting Room Client and then join the meeting

If you have a Java Runtime Environment VM installed (version 1.4 or 1.5) and a supported Web browser, such as Firefox, you can join the meeting after accepting the Meeting Room Client download.
