NEW DELHI, Oct 16:Government today asked

pensioners and family pension-ers to furnish their 'LifeCertificate' in the prescribedpro-forma in November everyyear to their respective banks.

"The pensioners should indi-cate their present address, tele-phone numbers (including mobilenumber) and email ID (if avail-able) on their respective LifeCertificates in order to enable

banks to provide them (pension-ers) better services," the FinanceMinistry said in a statement.

Banks make pension pay-ments on behalf of theGovernment to the retiredemployees of Central and State

Governments, Defence andRailways, and others.

All pension payments are sub-ject to rules and procedures pre-scribed by the Government(s), RBIand the concerned departments/ org-anisations from time to time.(PTI)
