Canadian Lynx.

They live in Rocky mountain areas such as Wyoming and Northern Colorado.

They mostly live in Washington, Northern Oregon, Northern Idaho, and Northwest Montana.

They also live in the East, Northern New England and Northwest New York, and the Midwest, and Northern Michigan and Northern Wisconsin.

Physical Description

Color- Beige with gray and black spots. Lynx are a medium sized cat with long

hair on it’s face beside it’s ears and a short hair.

Most adult Lynx are 30-42 in. long, and weigh 18-30 pounds.

Male Lynx are occasionally larger then female Lynx. Males weigh about 40 pounds.

Breeding Info

They are born as live birth. They do not create nests for their

newborns, since they have long thick fur they cover their babies with it.

They typically have 2-3 baby cubs, rarely 1, 4, or 5 cubs.

They can have up to 5 babies at a time. Lynx are able to breed when they are

one year old, but they often breed in the second year.

Special Behavior

Lynx can leap up to ten meters. The tufts of fur on the lynx's ears are

said to direct sound waves towards the ears, thereby making its hearing more sensitive.

Weird Information The Lynx is classified by the

International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as Critically Endangered - CR (Status: Threatened) - Face an extremely high risk of extinction in the immediate future.
