Question #1

• Kathy comes in worried about living in something called a cancer cluster. How can you help her determine if there is actually a cancer cluster and if it is something that she needs to be worried about?

Question #2

• You and Kathy establish that the cases of cancer in her neighbourhood are suspicious. How would you go about trying to help her find the source of the carcinogen?

Question #3

• You and Kathy finally track down a carcinogen that you think might be causing the cancer cases in her neighbourhood and have a good idea of where that carcinogen is coming from. What steps might you take next?

Question #4

• It turns out that the source of the carcinogen is an abandoned municipal and industrial chemical dump site. What resources are available to her community to help take care of the problem?

• Kathy feels overwhelmed by the process she and her neighbours will need to go through to ensure that community is protected. How would you help her see the light at the end of the tunnel?
