Project 5 — Newborn Scrapbook

Materials• 10-12 sheets of card stock• 1 sheet of sticker paper• Scissors and X-acto knife• Glue stick• Tape• Felt tip pens• Items for your scrapbook like photos, scraps of wrapping paper, cards, birth announcements, hospital wristbands, etc.• Optional items like ribbon, a cutter to round the edges, and liquid glitter (all used to embellish the pages.)

Instructions1. Print the artwork on card stock. Set aside to dry completely. (You may want to print several copies of some pages.) Tip: Trim off the white border on the pages for a clean, professional look.

2. Print the stickers onto sticker paper. Set aside to dry completely.

3. Fill in the blanks on the baby pages with memorable moments, events, and dates.

4. Cut out the photo frames on the baby pages with x-acto knife to create a window for your photos. Place your photo behind the frame, leaving room to glue or tape the photo on the backside of the page. Affix the additional back-up piece of cardstock for added durability and to protect your photos. Trim the back-up page to the size of the baby page.

5. Use your stickers and any optional items like ribbon and glitter to embellish and decorate the pages.

6. Remember, this is a work in progress, so don't bind your scrapbook together permanently until it is complete. You may want to rearrange the pages after you've put them all in. Binding suggestions• Punch two holes at the top of your scrapbook pages. (You can buy decorative punches in all sorts of fun shapes.) Thread short lengths of ribbon through the holes and tie them in loose bows.• Or, have your scrapbook professionally bound at a copy shop.
