What is SEREN3 about?
Overall objective:
– Identify and share good practices and raise the standard of the support to programme applicants
– Facilitate trans-national co-operation among NCPs for Secure Societies
Specific objectives
provide relevant partnering opportunities for potential applicants in SC7
provide up-to-date and high quality information about H2020 securityenvironment
provide Secure Societies stakeholders with direct opportunities andpossibilities for learning, training and networking
enlarge the composition of the Secure Societies stakeholders
identify synergies and establish new communication channels with keysecurity players
strengthen international cooperation in particular from non-EU countries
strengthen the collaboration with other supporting and NCP networks
improve NCP capacities and knowledge through personalisedprogrammes for new coming as well as experienced NCPs
3 main activities
Activities to support stakeholders
•database with the objective of increasing thevisibility of security related research in Europe andoptimizing the networking between securitystakeholders
SeReMa partner search tool
• in conjunction with Info days organized by theEuropean Commission/Research Executive Agencyand Security related events
Brokerage events
•direct training to researchers and applicants fromboth private and public sector in the timeframe ofthe EC events and REA Info days, following thepublication of Secure Societies calls
Training stakeholders
• strengthening the international connections ofSecure Societies NCPs and their stakeholders, inparticular from non-EU countries interested in theSecurity research
Activities to strengthen international cooperation
Activities to support NCPs
• identify in a measureable way the level of experienceand know-how of the Secure Societies NCP networkBenchmarking
• formulate and foster an improved, professionalisedand more consistent NCP service across the EU andassociated countries
Training NCPs
•exchange of well-experienced and less-experiencedSecure Societies NCPs in order to minimise the gapbetween them
Twinning
•NCPs who are not partners of the SEREN3 project will be given anoverview of the current state of the project
•The forum will serve as a place to exchange best practices andexperiences, to improve the implementation of the NCP services
