Definition of learning object

A learning object is an entity either numerical or non-numerical, either abstracted or concrete , that can be used, re-used or indexed during a training based on a technological support.

There is three mains types of learning objects : The learning units that allow to structurate and organize the

teaching in space and time The learning activities that define the accurate ways for acquisition,

validation and comunication of one or many knowledges. The learning resources, physical or numerical, needed for

achievement of the activities
