Link Building That Still Works
– Sujan Patel
“Link building is hard f*#%ing work. Put in the time & use the right tools
and you’ll be successful…don’t half-ass it.”
Quality Link Building• Steal your competitors links with tools like ahrefs.com & steal links to their latest content with tools
like buzzsumo.com & majestic.com
• We monitor popular content weekly and have 1 person dedicated to hunting down links and doing outreach. Use ContentMarketer.io (my tool) for outreach.
• Get interviewed on blogs & podcasts using podbay.fm
• For my growth hacking ebook 100daysofgrowth.com I used Buzz Sumo to find everywhere Sean Ellis and Morgan Brown (top growth hackers) were interviewed and had an intern pitch me. As a result I received 33 links and 500+ ebook sales .
• Round Up Posts. Use: “intitle:roundup” + [keyword] and pitch your latest and greatest content
• wheniwork.com/blog gets included on 7-10 round up post a month. At first we did a lot of outreach to be included on a round up post. Now that we’re on round up bloggers’ radar and the links keep coming in.
• Guest Posts still work but focus on authority sites/publications
• wheniwork.com receives over 75 links & 5000 visits a month from our guest posting efforts.
