The National Apprenticeship Service supports, funds and co-ordinates the delivery of Apprenticeships

throughout England

This is the story of how we worked with the organisation to

spread the word about Apprenticeships…

Working as part of a multi- agency approach spearheaded

by Claremont, we were primarily tasked with raising the profile of Apprenticeships

in the north of England

Promoting the many benefits of an Apprenticeship to employers and those looking to kick-start

their career was the core communication’s objective and

cornerstone to our campaign

We knew our unrivalled media contacts - coupled with our experience of promoting Apprenticeships in the region

- would prove pivotal

Our activity kicked-off with ‘National

Apprenticeship Week 2013’ - ‘the’ flagship event

in the Apprenticeships calendar

A key initiative during National Apprenticeship Week was ‘Made By Apprentices’, designed to showcase the vital contribution apprentices

make in the workplace

We organised a series of creative press photocalls with some of the

North’s biggest employers, whereby apprentices signed examples of

work they help produce

Our involvement in National Apprenticeship Week 2013

helped make it a resounding success and something we were

extremely proud to be part of

Here are some of the highlights from the week…

Building on the success of National Apprenticeship Week, we then turned our focus to a

more sustained PR campaign to continue to put Apprenticeships

firmly on the news agenda

From the latest apprentice figures and stats to the Brathay

Apprenticeship Challenge, we kept the media informed with targeted

news stories, every step of the way

This ultimately culminated in the prestigious National Apprenticeship Awards –

the icing on the cake for an intensive 9 month programme of Apprenticeship PR activity
