Group Volunteering Opportunities.
What we do
Through expert education, youth development, and health care programs, we help high need kids and families break cycles of abuse, neglect, or poverty so they can achieve their greatest potential. We serve 24,000 per year of all ages at 45+ sites throughout the city. We've been in business since 1831 thanks to supporters like you.

• 2-3 hours at your office
• Office tour/scavenger hunt
• Career panel• Case study and/or
product demo• A short activity
where students work with volunteers to come up with their own mini campaign, product, or strategy depending on your key business processes

Hackathon-Style Idea Competition
• 3 hours, 15-50+ volunteers
• Small groups of students and volunteers compete to come up with the best idea for a hypothetical cell phone app, city plan, or ad campaign.
• Our staff guide the groups through each activity which requires no prior knowledge of the content, just entrepreneurial thinking and mentorship.
• Students present their ideas for prizes.

Pre-K Learning Buddy Day
• 1-2 hours at one of our Learning Centers
• 15-20 volunteers per site max
• Read a book to a 3 or 4 year-old and do an educational craft.
• Improve children’s literacy and provide rare 1-1 guidance
