Starting the Winkie Pin edge with passives
1. Hang2pairsoverthetopmostpinintheopenorrainbowconfiguration.
2. Addatwisttotheleft2bobbins3. Closethepinwithwholestitch(CTCT)andtension
it.These pairs become the outside passives4. Putupapininthenextpinholetotheleft,hang
2pairsopenonthispin,addtwotwiststothelefthandpairandlaythemasideforthemoment.
5. Withtherighthandpair,clothstitch(CTC)throughthepassives.
The right hand pair now becomes the inner passive pair on the right.6. Putupapininthenextrighthandpinholeand
hangtwopairopenonthispin.Puttwotwistsintheoutsidepairandpintherighthandpairaside.
7. Usingthenewleftpair,clothstitch(CTC)throughbothpairsofrightsidepassives.

4. Closethepinbyclothstitch(CTC)thethe3longlegsthroughthe2shorterones.Add3twiststoallpairs.
5. Clothstitch(CTC)theheadside,bringinginthe2shorterspiderlegs.
6. Halfstitch,pin,halfstitch(CTpCT)theinnerpinswherethelegsjointhemainbodyofthelace.

Adding Sequins to Torchon Ground
Requirementsfinecrochethook(0.4mmorfiner)orlazysusanSequins
NotesWorkedovera3x3pinblock,sequinsareaddedwithintorchongroundbyreplacingapinwiththesequin.
Iaddanextratwistcominginandoutofthesequin,similartoaddingthe2twistswhenapplyinggimp.Ifusingcuppedsequins,havetheconvexsidefacingyouasyouwork,thatwillmeanthattheconcave,lightreflectingsidewillbefacingtherightside.Becarefulnottoentanglethefirstpairwhenworkingthesecond(step4)
1. Placethesequinontothecrochethookandpickupthebottomthreadfromtheleftpair.
2. Drawthehook(andthread)backthroughthesequintoformaloop.Threadthe2ndbobbinfromtheleftpairoverthesequinandthroughtheloop.
3. Tightentheloopandlaythepairtotheright.
4. Slidethesequinbackonthehookanddrawthebottomthreadfromtherightpair.Threadthe2ndbobbinfromtherightpairthroughtheloop.
5. Tightentheloopandlaythepairtotheleft.
6. Add2twiststobothpairsbeforeworkingtorchongroundtoclosethesequinarea.
7. Wigglebothsequinpairsuntilthesequinsitsflatwithoutexcessthread.
