Front Cover

The font has sharp edges which is similar to the leaves in the background.

The big 1 links to the fact it’s the ‘First’ edition.

The fact that the 1 is different colours and quite vibrant makes it stand out to the dull leaves around it.

Within the mise en scene the 1 takes up the majority of the page which could suggest that it’s important.

The colours of the 1 are quite autumnal which links to the leaves subject of the page.

It says ‘November Edition’ which suggests that this is a monthly subscribed magazine.

The white writing stands out over the dull like leaves.

There’s pictures with the page numbers as well as little subheadings and a description which gives a variety of aids to try and the find the page.

The Autumn 2011 links to the autumn leaves on the front cover.

The subheadings are capitals – bold and stands out – as if it’s shouting for the audience to read it.

‘The First’ – links to the number 1 on the front cover – sense of continuity.

Variety of topics – appealing to a wider audience.
