A day in the life of the James Blackstone Memorial Library…
On April 16, our day included:
• 1312 library visitors

• 34 reference questions answered
• 98 people using our public computers
• 338 visits to our website
• hosting 28 parents and children at Miss Mary’s Stories for 2s class.
We asked our wonderful members why the library is important to them. This is what they said…
“A quiet place to read, write, draw, and reflect. Beautiful surroundings that inspire. A sanctuary from the hustle and
bustle of daily life.” - Jon A.
“I have spent lots of time in MANY libraries –this one is the best – especially the personnel!
– George E.
“I am in this area often so I stop in to check out a book.
Also, my church book group reads 1 book a month - my library is small so I
stop in here.”
- JoAnn H, non-resident library user
“One of the few places that offer books/magazines in other
languages. The whole family uses it!” – Micky F.

out books each

“It is important
because it is a great
way to access a lot of
books without
spending a lot.
Also it’s a quiet
peaceful place to study
and read.”

Mary. He waits
every week to come
to her fabulous
program.”

me interested
and connected.”
