St. Ann Parish Mission Statement We are called by a loving God
to make St. Ann of Lansing a Catholic community of faith.
We are a family of diverse people with various ministries:
healing the body and spirit, teaching of God and His love,
united in sacraments and prayer, reaching out to the extended community.
With God’s revelation of Himself in Scripture as our guide,
we strive to grow in His Spirit and to fulfill the promise of Christ’s Kingdom.

Miss Me—But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want not rites in a gloom filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little—but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love we once shared.
Miss me—but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take,
And each must go alone.
It’s all a part of the Master’s plan,
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the Friend we know, And bury
your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss me—but let me go.
In Loving Memory of

Coffee & Comfort A Support Group for Mothers
Who Have Experienced the Death of a Child
Monday, May 6 7-8:30 p.m. in the Parish Office
When a child or grandchild dies―whether an infant, toddler, school aged, teen, or adult―parents mourn and begin a process of bereavement. It helps to become involved with others who have experienced something similar. Sharing eases loneliness and allows an expression of grief in an atmosphere of acceptance and understanding. Grief is a testament to the person who has left us. Love does not end, so we feel the loss for years to come. Coffee & Comfort is a place to share stories, to confide in others who truly understand, and to discover hope and healing. We meet on the first Monday of every month. For more information, please contact Lorraine Stephens at 708-895-6700.

Baby Bottle Project
May 12 - June 16
St. Ann’s will participate in the Baby Bottle Project to
benefit the Women’s Centers of Greater Chicagoland, a
non-profit organization that
assists mothers and families
experiencing crisis pregnan-
cies by offering emotional,
financial, material, and spir-
itual support through coun-
seling, clothing and mone-
tary provisions, prayer, and
other aid. Each year, the
Women’s Center sees over 5,000 expectant mothers in
their three locations, one of which is located at Our Lady
of Knock in Calumet City. They estimate to have saved
almost 40,000 babies and their mothers from abortion
since opening in 1984.
Please take a Baby Bottle home with you from the Nar-
thex the weekend of May 11-12, fill it with your spare
change, and return it the weekend of June 15-16. If you
are making a donation by check, please make it payable to
The Women’s Center. Please note that the baby bottles
cost nearly $1 per bottle and are recycled afterwards, so
please be sure to return them at the end of the project.
Thank you for helping to defend life, and remember to
keep all pro-life undertakings in your prayers.
