We want to say “THANK YOU” to everyone that helped with picking, husking, cleaning, cutting & preparing for freezing the Parish Dinner Corn last Sunday. We have 65 ice cream buckets of corn! We started at 4 pm & were done by 7 pm. Thank you to the Bob Collins Family—they have planted the sweet corn for the parish for the last 20 plus years. We are so grateful for your generosity!

Registration forms for Religious Ed classes (CCD) are available on the table by the church office.

Religious Education classes will begin in September. We are looking for a few volunteers to teach the lower grades. Please call St. Rose at 263-2152 for more information. We provide the necessary study materials & books for you to teach about our Catholic faith. Please consider spending an hour each week with our parish youngsters to encourage their bond with Jesus.

We have an open position in our school for a 5th grade teacher. If you know of someone who may be interested or who would be a good fit, please contact Angie Stangl at 263-5408 or email her at astangl@stroseoflimaschools.org.

MANNING SACRED HEART

Registration for Sacred Heart (Manning) 2021-22 Faith Formation classes is now open! We invite all youth in grades 1st-12th grade to participate in Manning's Faith Formation program. New for this school year, youth in grades 1st-6th will meet on Sunday mornings following mass from 10-11am. Youth in grades 7-12 will meet on Wednesday evenings from 7-8-pm. This year confirmation class will consist of 8th & 9th grade students and next year we anticipate holding confirmation in 8th grade. Classes begin on September 12 & 15th. Volunteers Needed for 6th Grade & Youth Choir We are still in need of a 6th grade catechist and are always looking for substitutes who are available on an as-needed basis. Ideally we would like to offer a youth choir that would sing on the first Sunday of each month. If you are interested in coordinating this group, please contact Shelly Greving. If we do not have someone step-up to lead the youth choir, we will not be able to hear those beautiful angelic voices from the choir loft!

Children's Liturgy will return during mass on Sunday, September 12th for children ages 3-6 (up to 2nd grade). We will continue to offer youth-led masses on the 1st Sunday of every month beginning in October. Each grade will be assigned a month & those students will participate in the liturgical ministries during mass as well as host the coffee & rolls after mass for the whole parish. We hope this will be a great way to build our parish community and encourage our young people to be more confident in participating in mass and our parish.

Thank you to everyone, especially those who have stepped up as volunteers and catechists, for your continued support of faith formation. It is up to each of us to carry out our faith & hand it down to the next generation. Together we will continue to be a vibrant parish with active parishioners of all ages.
