ABOUT THE CONFERENCEABOUT THE CONFERENCE
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Annual Asphalt Conference provides industry, agency, and research personnel with current information on topics related to the asphalt industry. The MnDOT State Aid Offi ce will give an overview/update of the previous year and coming year, and there will be presentations from The Asphalt Pavement Alliance, A History of the Asphalt Paving Award, and Perpetual Pavements. The afternoon general session includes a presentation on government spending for infrastructure and a presentation on veterans to commemorate Pearl Harbor Day.
The four breakout sessions will include informative presentations by MnDOT and local government personnel, consultants, suppliers and contractor representatives. The topics covered will include the following: Tack Coats, Mat Defects, HMA Test Sections, GPR, Cracking Tests & CIR, Preventive Maintenance, Trails & Parking Lots, WMA, Reclamation, Underseals, and Thermal/IC Highlights.
As always, there will be time for valuable networking, and time to meet and talk with other experts and colleagues.
The conference is sponsored by the Minnesota Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (MAAPT) in cooperation with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Local Road Research Board (LRRB), Minnesota Asphalt Pavement Association (MAPA), Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Contractors, engineers, technicians, fi eld and plant inspectors, and anyone involved in the asphalt industry will benefi t from attending.
FEES AND REGISTRATION
The general conference fee includes all handouts, the Wednesday luncheon, coffee/snack breaks and the Wednesday evening awards banquet.
Students will be allowed to register for the Conference at no charge; Wednesday evening’s banquet is not included. Valid proof of current student status must be provided at the time of registration.
A full refund of the registration fee will be made provided a written cancellation is postmarked on or before Nov. 18, 2016. Full registration fees will be the responsibility of the registrant for cancellations postmarked Nov. 19 or later, as well as for no shows. Substitutions are permitted.
Early Bird Conference Registration Fee: $155.00
(Registration and Payment must be received byNovember 18, 2016 to get the Early Bird rate.)
Conference Registration Fee: $175.00
(Begins November 19 to day of conference)
