SMM MASS SCHEDULE ADDITIONS/TIME CHANGES
Beginning July 14th, we will offer 3 daily masses per week: T, W & TH at 8:30AM. Our Sunday weekend mass will remain the same. Our approach is to have a safe and gradual opening, ensuring the best practices are utilized. We are still limiting attendance to 150 people. Once we have reached 150, we unfortunately are not permitted to allow any other people in church. Please familiarize yourself with the guidelines prior to coming to mass. Visit our Reopening Guidelines Page & Mass Times on our website for the most up to date info. Reminders:
Please be responsible & read the guidelines prior to coming to mass.
You must wear a mask and sanitize your hands upon entering.
If you are coming to church by yourself, please sit in a smaller pews on the sides, leaving the larger pews open for families.
Remain in your pew until an usher directs you to communion by going up your isle toward the center (see arrows on the floor.) Communion will continue to be at the end of mass.
On weekends, worship aides & bulletins are available online only, www.smmchurch.org.

A REQUEST FROM FATHER KIRK HELP WANTED WITH ALTAR LINENS
I am looking for a few individuals who would be willing to launder and iron our altar linens. (These are the linens used by the priest while celebrating Mass – corporals, purificators, and finger towels.) The process involves presoaking, washing, and hand ironing. You will be provided with specific instructions on how they are to be folded and ironed. My hope is that with several people they can share the responsibility and only have to take a “turn” every few weeks. If you have interest, please contact me at 302-652-6800 Ext 112 or smmkirk@smmchurch.org or Stephanie Casey at stephanie.casey@smmchurch.org or ext. 145.
Thank you, Father Kirk

PARENTING POINTERS Sometimes parents' words fall on children as if they were deaf and blind. "Clean up your room." "Don't fight with your sister." "I need help with dinner." This is a challenge to a parent's creativity in phrasing the ask or imposing a natural consequence for non-compliance.
MARRIAGE MOMENTS As we humans continue to groan about Covid-19, we wait. We wait for a vaccine, for return to normal, or even an improvement on the normalcy of the past. We groan, and we pray that our labor pains may bring to birth a better world. S. Vogt
COMBATTING RACISM Bishop Malooly's statement on the death of George Floyd is available on the homepage of our website, as well as more from the United States Conference
of Catholic Bishops.
Bishop Malooly has joined the other bishops who serve Maryland in a joint statement on racial justice titled, "Building Bridges of Understanding and Hope." It was published on June 15, 2020 by the
Maryland Catholic Conference. You can read it here:
