As the year ends, it is a time to celebrate our
students’ growth and to wish them well as they move
into the next grade.
Thank you to PAC for their hard work fundraising and
making our school community a great place to be.

2017/2018 CALENDAR Enclosed in the newsletter is the Standard Calendar
for the 2017/2018 School Year. The first day of
school will be on Tuesday, September 5th (until 11:00
am). On Wednesday, September 6th, all students from
the 2016/2017 school year will return to their regular
classroom on the first day back to school. New
students will meet in the Library. Staff will then
meet in the afternoon of the first day to review class
lists. Once lists are finalized, they will be posted no
later than Friday, September 8th.
COPS FOR CANCER Thank you all for your generosity donating to Cops for
Cancer! We raised $550.00! THANK YOU!
STAFF CHANGES There will be several staffing changes at
Albert McMahon for the 2017/2018 school year. We
are sad to say goodbye, but wish them well in their
new assignments. Staffing changes are:

July 1st - Canada Day at Heritage Park The Museum will be celebrating Canada Day at the Heritage Park! Come and visit us for some pioneer fun with games and crafts for the kids!
July 22nd– Mission Folk Music Festival at Heritage Park Come spend time with us at the Mission Folk Music Festival to play games, make crafts and all the while listening to a variety of great music!
August 13th - MissionFest Join the Mission Museum and Mission Community Archives for fun, games and entertainment!
The Mission Museum is on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram Special for the 125th Anniversary of Mission, each week we post a specific historic item special to the history of Mission in a feature called, “My Mission”.
“The Curious Collection of Mr. Taulbut”, is another weekly post about the collection of Anthony Taulbut; a man who formed the foundation of the Mission Museum’s artefact collection. Previously he had his collection for viewing in his house!
