Student Centre Self Service - Enrolment The following guide provides step by step guides to help you with viewing and changing your enrolment.

Enrolment Navigation 1. Login to Student Centre Self Service (see How do I login help guide)

2. Once on the Student Homepage, Select the ‘Student Centre’ tile

3. In the centre of the page, under ‘Academics’, select ‘Enroll’

4. You will be presented with the following menu:

From here you will be able to do the following types of actions:

i. Add: Add a new enrolment

ii. Drop: Withdraw from a previously-enrolled course, noting that:

If you withdraw after the Census Date you will remain financially liable for the course

If withdraw after the Academic Penalty Date you will receive a WF grade

You will be unable to withdraw after the last teaching day for the course

iii. Swap: Change your enrolment in a particular study period by adding one course and dropping another.

Please Note

Enrolment changes should be undertaken with care. It is your responsibility to ensure enrolments (whether adding, dropping, or swapping) are appropriate to your program

at the time the enrolment is made. You will need to take into consideration any regulations appropriate to your program of study, such as prerequisites, and your

progression. It is strongly recommended that you discuss all enrolments with your School before taking any action.

Also, don’t forget that any changes to your enrolment will result in a change to your timetable.

To Add an Enrolment 1. Refer ‘Enrolment Navigation’ above for preliminary steps

2. Select ‘Add’

3. Choose the relevant Study Period and then press [Continue]

N.B. Study Period 1 = Summer Term / Semester 1; Study Period 2 = Winter Term / Semester 2

4. Follow the steps outlined on the screen using these steps

*A Class Number is the unique identifier assigned to each course offered in a particular Study Period. A current listing of Class Numbers is available from your School,

or on the University website:

Without a Class Number, you will need to use the Class Search function and locate the relevant class by selecting at least two of the following criteria:

Campus Subject (alpha component of the course code) Course Number (numeric component of the course code)

Course Career (Undergraduate, Postgraduate, etc.)

Session (the teaching period, e.g. Semester 1, Winter Term, Non-Standard 01)

If you know your Class Number* enter it here and then press [Enter], OR

If you don’t know your Class Number* select the ‘Class Search’ button and then press [Search] for

the relevant class

The following example enrols a student into the course, ‘Mathematics 1 in Early Years’ (EDUC1008), in Semester 1 2018 this course on the Sydney Campus has

the Class Number 1943.

5. Once the number has been added, click [Enter]

6. Confirm the correct details appear, Course Name and Session, then click [Next].

Please note that a course will need to have the green ‘Open’ spot indicated to process your enrolment. Contact you School for any classes that have a blue ‘Closed’

box.

7. Repeat the above steps for each course you wish to add for that study period until they are all in your ‘Shopping Cart’

8. Review your enrolment, updates can be made using the ‘bin’ icon to remove any classes. If all details are accurate and no more courses need to be added, click on

[Proceed to Step 2 of 3]

Step 2: Confirm Classes

9. Double-check all of your enrolments for that Study Period are correct and have an ‘Open’ Status. When satisfied click on [Finish Enrolling]

Step 3: View Results

10. Confirm that the status of all classes have a ‘Status’ of ‘Success: enrolled’ (i.e. have a green tick next to them). Please contact your School should any appear with a

red cross (i.e. a status of ‘Error: unable to add class’)

11. Press [My Class Schedule] to undertake a final review of all of the courses you have just enrolled in. Here you will also be able to view the start/end dates for each

course, the units of credit, your study load (EFTSL), etc.

12. To enrol in courses for another study period (e.g. for the second half of the year), select ‘Add’, and repeat the above steps.

13. Once you have completed your enrolment you may simply navigate to another screen or log out.

To Drop an Enrolment To drop an enrolment is to withdraw from an enrolled course.

3. Choose the relevant Study Period and then click [Continue]

Step 1: Select Classes to Drop

4. Select the course(s) you wish to drop and then press [Drop Selected Classes]

5. Review the courses being dropped, and then click [Finish Dropping]

Step 2: Confirm Your Selection

Step 3: View Results

6. Once complete, you can view whether the course(s) have been successfully dropped. Please speak to your School should you be unable to drop a class.

7. Once you have completed dropping courses you may simply navigate to another screen or log out.

To Swap an Enrolment Swapping an enrolment enables you to withdraw from one course and replace with another course in the same session.

4. Select the course you wish to drop from the drop-down menu

5. Enter the Class Number for the course in which you wish to enrol or use the ‘Search for Class’ function and then press [Search]

8. A final confirmation is then displayed

9. Once you have completed swapping courses you may simply navigate to another screen or log out.
