MY FAVOURITE PRICE

The Internet

“the Internet.....is a vast research library full of facts and information,

some of which is correct. but the idea that grazing it in your

spare time could be 'fun' is laughable...

The Internet

“I care more about the colour of the gearknob on my Mercedes SLK

Examples….

The power of blogging…

• Tsunami – December 26th 2004

Why ?

Who ?

“Miss, could we ever get an earthquake in Kent ?”

Student question

“No, no, its very unlikely and if we did it would be so minor we wouldn't

know it had happened ?”Geography teacher’s answer

The student asked the question last Friday in a school in Kent…

Saturday Morning – 8.19am

How were the effects described ?

• “I thought a train was going past, and all of a sudden the tiles started falling off. I slipped and was holding on to the scaffolding on the edge of the roof with my legs dangling over the edge.”

must know for the exam”

What do you use ?

“I study best when I study with someone and we go through problems together…”

“I find it useful drawing mind maps or spider diagrams so that I can see ideas visually…”

“I work well if I have a partner, or am in a small group…”

“I like sharing ideas with other people before starting to write an answer…”

NINGS

1. They can be set up as private networks so that you can choose who joins your network and control what they can do.

2. You can use them at school whereas other social networking sites are filtered out….

3. They’re ‘my favourite price’…

3 big differences with Nings:

So far…

Benefits

• Closed environment

• Allows upload of documents after lesson

• Encourages a learning community to develop

Another alternative…Google Aps…

So, the exam is getting closer

Everything’s where you can easily find it…

Were you paying attention ?One of these images was not used as a background in the presentation – which one ?
