TOUCH & SEEIn the Handicrafts & Hobbies Competition area inside the Commercial Building, you’ll find some of our state’s most talented painters, wood carvers, glassblowers and potters showcased. At Touch & See, you’ll be able to touch items
like woven baskets, mosaics, woodworking pieces and acrylic paintings with thick textures. Staff will be on hand
to talk you through the process of creating each piece.
Make sure you stop by
to visit our miniature farm
near Dorton Arena
Top 10 “Must DO’S” at the Fair!1. Don’t miss milking a cow inside the Expo Center.
2. Be on the look out for Stilt Circus as they roam the grounds. What costumes will they be wearing today?
3. We have handwashing stations and hand sanitizer all over the fairgrounds. Use them often!
4. We now have ramps to the main floor of Dorton Arena. Head down to check out all the samples, cooking demonstrations and local products for sale in the new Got to Be NC Agriculture Pavilion.
5. There’s cuteness overload at the bunny play pen in Field of Dreams and while you’re there, take a family photo at our harvest barn backdrop.
6. Adults ride free with a child who has tickets on the carousel and giant slide. Give them a whirl!
7. Your visit to the fair isn’t complete if you don’t spot Casey Cardinal and snap a selfie.
8. Try our tasty vendor creations! Have dietary restrictions? Make sure you ask, and our vendors are always as accommodating as possible.
9. Head over to the Expo Center to see the animals in the N.C. State Fair Ark! We’ve got cow/calf pairs, goat mountain, horses, baby pigs, chicks & more.
10. Smile. You’re having fun and making memories!
