IN Cell Analyser 6000, Swansea Uni.

Background:• Cellesce has developed a bioprocess to grow the organoids at scale to make

them accessible to high-throughput applications to position organoid technology as a cost effective and accurate tool in drug discovery and other applications.

Project:• Cellesce is providing access to patient derived colon cancer organoids in order

to: 1) develop staining and high-content imaging protocol for 3D organoids & 2) develop tools to analyse large 3D image sets and extract relevant biological information

Outputs for Cellesce and Swansea University:• Organoid screening protocols for drug development purposes• 3D imaging methodologies for answering biological questions• Methodologies that can be translated to other 3D tumour modelsOutputs for Wales Biomedical Industry:• Job creation• Improving local skills base• Expanding products and processes developed in Wales leading to increased

competitiveness in a global market.
