About Tarot

Tarot cards originated over 500 years ago in Europe,originally as playing cards, and have evolved into thecards we use today for divination. Keep this in mind,tarot is meant to be light-hearted and playful. Don't

take it too seriously!

The cards are open to interpretation, and can be readintuitively or by their traditional meanings.

Major Arcana

The Major Arcana contains 22 cards, which are meantto represent the keys to life and follow a logical

sequence. It's helpful to line up these cards and tell astory to help you interpret + remember what each card

means.

The Major Arcana symbolises archetypes within us, andcan represent deep influences or changes in our lives.

The following pages contains space for interpretationsand associations of each of the Major Arcana cards.Each card has associations with astrology, herbs and

crystals, which you may feel called to use in combinationwith tarot readings. These associations can be helpful inremembering or deepening your insights into each card.

Cleansing your cards

Cleanse your cards often to get rid of energies that maybe lingering. It's important to cleanse your cards when you

first receive them, after others have been handling thecards, or after you've had a break from using the cards.Cleansing helps to re-calibrate the energies of your deck!

Smoke cleanse by wafting a herbal smoke bundle around

your cards

Knock on your cards 3 times

Lay them in the sun for a few hours

Leave them under the full moon for a fewhours/overnight

Keep a piece of black tourmaline & a piece of selenitewith your cards to cleanse & absorb negative energies

from your cards

Hold your deck in your hands and imagine them beingsurrounded by white light

How to do a reading

Set the space for your reading, make it comfortable andambient with candles, light music, incense, crystals,comfortable seating, and whatever else you desire.

Clear the energy by smoke cleansing or surrounding the space

with your white light.

If you are reading for yourself, hold the cards in your handsand put your energy into your cards. If you are reading forsomeone else, let them hold the cards and put their energy

into the cards.

It's important to ask the cards a specific question! Ask thequestion aloud or be clear of your question in your mind.

Shuffle the deck however works best for you.

Sometimes a card will fall out of the deck as you're shuffling -I feel this is the card jumping out at you, it's the intended cardfor your question! Otherwise, feel free to draw a card fromthe top, bottom, or anywhere in the deck you are drawn to.
