OUR HISTORY
The Grounds Guys® was founded in Caledon, Ontario in 1989 by the 10 Van Stralen Brothers under the name “Sunshine Grounds Care.”
THE DWYER GROUP
In February 2010, The Dwyer Group acquired exclusive rights to market the Sunshine concept under the name The Grounds Guys® landscape management and added the company to its 6 already successful service brands.
Headquarters are in Waco, TX.

SERVICE QUALITY
GARBAGE•Pick-up, Bag and Remove
•Assign one Team member to pick up garbage immediately upon arrival to a customer, so as not to hold up the lawn cutters
•Start with lawn areas and systematically cover all garden and shrub areas
CUT & TRIM•Trim all trees, fences and edges
•Set appropriate deck level & cut in an alternating pattern.
•Take care not to speed, miss spots or spin tires, especially when ground is wet
•Point deck shoots away from ponds, pools and parked cars
•Remove suckers from trees
GARDENS & SHRUBS
•Remove weeds & use Horticultural vinegar every visit
•Work up mulch and soil areas as per contract frequency
•Maintain sharp neat edges using Vertical trimming
• Maintain shrubs to look manicured & remove clippings.
CURBS & HARD SURFACES
•Curbs collect grass clippings, weeds, pinecones, dirt & debris
•A perfect job on the lawn will often be overlooked by the owner when the curbs look messy
GRASS CLIPPINGS•Grass clippings need to be blown off of all hard surfaces
•Take care as to the direction you are blowing them (work with the wind)
•In high growth seasons, it may be necessary to remove clippings from the lawn area

• An e-Door hanger is a simple courtesy to customers to notify them of a service that was performed while they were away.
• It also serves as a way to document notes about the property for the customer to stay informed.

GroundsNET is a robust customer relationship management system that allows us to efficiently and effectively:• Track our customers needs• Accurately construct, display, and deliver quotes• Monitor communications• Send reports• Create tasks• Leverage/Access knowledge across the system• Centrally locate business content
