EXPO 2015: lessons learned24th – 25th November 2015 DiSBA Annual ConferenceCNR - Research Area|Via A. Corti, 12 - Milan
The National Research Council of Italy Department of Biology, Agriculture and Food Sciences
DISBA and the planetary grand challenge: To double agricultural productions, halving the use of resources
Vision
i) How to face increasing foodneeds due to raising populationand changing dietary styles;
ii) How to reduce the use of limiting resources(water, energy) for the intensive agriculture;
iii) How to mitigate the global change, while producingsustainably food and feed resources with organisms adapted to the environment
Department of Biology, Agriculture and Food Sciences
The mission of the Department is to streamline fundamental and applied scientific and technological knowledge for the development and valorisation of a sustainable bio-economy, thereby contributing to tackle the global grand challenges of future earth, including the need to provide enough food, water, and energy to a growing population, through a sustainable use of limited natural resources.

Patent Use
Treatment of cereal flour and semolina for consumption by celiac patients
Detoxification of flour before being used in the preparation of food for celiac subjects
Olive Tree named "FS-17"In juvenile phase FS 17 is used as clonal rootstock and it induces dwarfing in graft combination with some varieties
Method for constructing a building using corner panels
Connecting element for panels
Trademark “SOFIE”
Connecting element for panels comprises at least one plate which can be fixed to a first panel, a connecting body connected to the plate and which can be inserted in a cavity in a second panel to connect the second panel to the first panel; the connecting body having a substantially 'V'- shaped cross-section and having a top edge which can be completely inserted in the cavity.
