Remembrance Day
Remembrance Day was commemorated today with
a formal assembly at our flag pole. Our senior
students did a great job officiating the day. Thank
you to Korban and Hailey who showed the school’s
expectation of Be Respectful while reading the
introduction speech, poems and undertaking the flag
protocol. Remembrance Day holds great
significance for this community and for this country.
Please observe one minute’s silence at 11am on
Sunday to remember those who died or suffered for
Australia’s cause in all wars and armed conflict.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left
grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the
years condemn. At the going down of the
sun and in the morning We will remember
them.
Students coloured a wreath and wrote a special
message inside for the soldiers of all wars. Mrs
Smith helped them research and understand the
significance of selling poppies and that the money
raised is used to help returned service people.

It is about educating children and adults about keeping kids safe through child safety and protection initiatives. It aims to help empower our children to ‘Recognise, React and Report’ if they feel something is not right. I would like to wish Tess all the best in her chosen sport of archery. Tess competes in many competitions and shows she is determined to do well in this sport. Well done Tess! The summer heat has arrived and I would like to
