The Raan-E-
Aali Shaan
IngredientsFor Marinating For Masala For Gravy
•Whole leg of
baby lamb
•Onion (1 large)
•Ginger
•Garlic
•Curd
•Salt to taste
•Oil
•Turmeric
•Coriander
•Cumin
•Red chilli
•Green cardamom
•Garam masala
•Kewra
•Kesar
•Badaam
•Besan
•Kaju Paste
•Kesar
•Raan ka Sauce
Step 1
Clean the leg of
lamb and make
slashes.
Marinate the
Raan with
Ginger-garlic
paste, curd and
salt.
Step 2
Heat oil in a pan.
Add onions to the
hot oil and
heat till light
golden brown.
Add ginger- garlic
paste & continue
to sauté.
Step 3
Grease a copper
lagan with oil
and place the
marinated Raan
in it. Add
Turmeric powder,
Roasted cumin
powder and
other spices.........

Step 4
In the mean
time, make the
gravy. The gravy
is a mixture of
Besan, Kaju
Paste (cashew),
Kesar and Raan
ka Sauce.
Step 5
Pour the Gravy
over the leg &
cook for another
hour. Serve hot
garnished with
onion rings,
sprinkled sliced
almond nuts and
a sprig of mint
leaf.
