Golf Practice & Instruction Area Lot#90
Rincon West RV Resort #90 I am at the Rincon West RV Resort in Tucson,
Arizona for the Winter until the middle of April.
After teaching golf for some 40 years I still get
excited when one of my students improves.
Long after the excitement of new clubs and
equipment comes the realization that playing
better, enhances the pleasure we get from the
game. Coaching Programs include full swing
and short game. I have a golf net, putting
green, video and swing analyzer set up for the
coaching programs.

Putter Custom Fitting
Every golfer knows that putting is an important part of the game and that 35 to 40% of your score comes from putting. We want to improve our putting as it has a big impact on our score. I have al-ways asked the question at my putting clinics "What are the three ways to miss a putt?" I sometimes get some strange answers but it all boils down to these three, directional control, distance control, and reading greens properly. Being better at putting means having consistent directional and dis-tance control of the golf ball. This is achieved by taking all the bad variables out of your stroke through professional instruction, hours of practice and playing the game. Developing the proper feel for distance and proper break and directional control is sometimes re-ferred to as the "art" of putting. While most people ignore the varia-bles in putter fitting, it is also advisable to remove those variables through proper club fitting and not ignore the science and equip-ment part. Five Variables in Putting Fitting
1. Putter Length
2. Putter lie angle
3. Putter loft angle
4. Head weight /swingweight
5. Putter Head Design Attributes
A properly fit putter answers the question, “Is it me or the putter?”

Mobile Grip Station
Why Regrip? Grips are made of materials that age and wear as a function of
time. Ozone, heat, dirt, and oils from your hands all age your grips
and cause the natural degradation of the grip. The traction that a
fresh grip provides lets you hold the club lightly without the subcon-
scious fear of losing the club during your swing. This relaxed state
promotes proper swing mechanics and wrist action. A worrn grip
causes you to grasp the club tighter, this causes arm and wrist ten-
sion that inhibits proper swing mechanics.
How Often To Regrip?
As a rule of thumb, you should regrip once every year. Regardless
of whether you play golf every day or only twice a year, ozone,
heat, dirt, and oils are constantly at work breaking down the materi-
als that make up your grips. Granted, frequent play and personal
preference may dictate regripping sooner, but normally there’s
enough degradation of the material after a year to warrant fresh
grips. Keep in mind that grips lose a significant amount of their
original feel long before they become hard and glazed over. Be-
cause it happens slowly over time, most golfers fail to notice it.
That’s important to remember because just a tiny, imperceptible
slip at contact will be magnified to many yards by the time the ball
reaches its target. Many people find that getting in the routine of
regripping every spring as the golf season “officially” begins is the
easiest way to remember but if in Tucson the start of the new year
is a good time. I have a mobile gripping station. Bring your clubs
to me to regrip and I will quote you a price.

Sewailo Golf Club Review
Located at the Casino Del Sol Resort on south Valencia. The Pascua Yaqui Tribe knew they wanted to work within the land and honor its natu-ral gifts and wonders when it came to designing a golf course in Tucson. They hired fellow native american, Notah Begay, a Navajo and Pueblo who has made his name both as a player on the PGA Tour, a commenta-tor on NBC television and The Golf Channel, and as a noted golf course designer, to help carve the world from the high sonoran desert just south of the resort. Sewailo, meaning “flower world” in the Pascua Yaqui lan-guage, blends the native landscape with picturesque lakes and streams. This challenging course measures 7,400 yards from the championship tees, with 5 different tee boxes on each hole to allow for players of all abil-ities. It is known as one of the finest golf courses in Tucson and the state of Arizona.
I have played it several times and love the staff and the golf course. It is only a few minutes drive just southwest of the Rincon West RV Resort. The best way to make a tee time is to go to golfnow.com and check out the rates or Troon Resorts web site troongolf.com. The course is also the home of the Arizona Wildcats Golf Team.
Get to the course early
Get to the course early to enjoy the great practice facilities. There’s a good grill for lunch before or after play. If you’re feeling lucky the Casino is just 100 yards away.
