THE VOLUNTARY TRUMPET A PUBLICATION OF THE CHARLESTON CHAPTER
OF THE AMERICAN GUILD OF ORGANISTS
MARCH 2018
The mission of the American Guild of Organists is to enrich lives through organ and choral mu-
sic. We encourage excellence in the performance of organ and choral music; inspire, educate,
and offer certification for organists and choral conductors; provide networking, fellowship, and
mutual support; nurture future generations of organists; promote the organ in its historic and
evolving roles; and engage wider audiences with organ and choral music.
With no further nominations submitted from the
membership, the slate of officers published in the
February Voluntary Trumpet stands. The board
thanks the hard work of the nominating committee:
Dr. Bill Gudger, Ms. Nancy Lefter, and Dr. Julia
Harlow.
The membership will vote on the slate at the
March 12 meeting at the Citadel. See the article
