LEA Eligibility for Title I, Part A Recovery Funds

Framing Questions for Decision-Making in Using ARRA Funds1. Will it drive improved results for students

including students in poverty, ELL and SWD?

state, district or school improvement plans and the reform goals in ARRA?

Examples of Uses for ARRA Funds: Professional Development Activities

Train highly effective teachers to be instructional leaders;

Establish intensive, year-long training for all Title Ischool staff to build capacity to target student academic needs;

Train teachers to use data to inform instruction for Title I-eligible students ;

Train teachers in integrating technology into classrooms

Use reading and math coaches to train teachers in Title I schools
