This PowerPoint is part of our 60 second tips series

The Quick Access Toolbar can be useful for commands that you use regularly in Microsoft Office. It can also be helpful to add icons that you don’t use very often.

The Quick Access Toolbar sits at the top left of your screen in all Microsoft Office applications.

The Quick Access Toolbar can also be shown below the ribbon….

… as shown here.

Icons can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar by right clicking on any icon and choosing Add to Quick Access Toolbar…

…or icons can be added by using the drop down arrow to the end of the toolbar.

There are even more icons under more commands…

Select an option from the left hand panel and click the Addbutton, then click OK.

If you can’t find the command you want under Popular Commands then choose All Commands from the drop down list.

To remove icons from the Quick Access Toolbar right click and choose Remove from Quick Access Toolbar.
