Took on the role on 16th September 2013 and will lead the college during its set-up year and as it welcomes its first intake of students in September 2014.

Angela has an engineering background and experience of technical and vocational education.

UTC -UNIVERSITY TECHNICAL COLLEGE

• A college for students aged 14 to 19 which specialises in technical studies and is sponsored by a university and a leading employer.

• 45 with more planned, supported by all three main political parties. Brainchild of Lord Baker – Baker Dearing Trust (BDT)

• It offers full time courses, which combine practical and academic studies.

• Employers are involved from the start in shaping the curriculum.
