The rounded shape pro- vides a relatively uniform matrix of interstit ial passages be tween the synthetic ceramic media granules, which are key to the media's outstand- ing flow-versus-removal relationship. The rough, textured surface physically captures small and midsized particles as the water passes through the media bed. Macrolite is available in a variety of sizes and can be customized to meet special application requirements.
