SHUL SECURITY MEETING
We live in a new more dangerous world. As Jews we
are more vulnerable than most other people and our
institutions are probably more likely to be a target.
More and more shuls are now realizing that security
issues must be addressed and many shuls now have a
security force presence. The Community Security
Service is an organization that has been in operation
since 2007 and is the only Jewish nonprofit security in
the U.S. We are in contact with them and they are
more than happy to help us get this project moving
forward. We are scheduled to have a presentation
from CSS at YIEB on February 8, 2015 at 6:30pm,
after which questions will be addressed from our
members. However, in order to make the meeting
more productive, we are asking that your questions be
sent to Zvi Herskovits, (zvi@comcast.net) in advance
of the presentation.
Thank you and hope to see all of you at the meeting.

TO THE EAST BRUNSWICK COMMUNITY:
On Jan. 18th, I will be running a marathon in
Bermuda to raise money for an organization that is
very dear to my heart, Kids of Courage.
What is Kids of Courage? This unbelievable
organization is a groundbreaking, all-volunteer not-
for-profit that provides support to sick Jewish
children and their families, 365 days a year. Kids
of Courage is committed to helping critically ill
children disconnect from their daily struggles and
to give them the opportunity to feel like a healthy
child. With the help of an unbelievable team of
doctors, nurses, and counselors, the kids travel
and bond together as they experience trips of a
lifetime (not to mention a week-long stay in sunny
Florida!).We are hoping to raise $3,700 and we are
so close to accomplishing this goal! If you would
like to help us, there are three ways to donate:
By credit card:

through hundreds of years of Jewish history and
heritage. We will visit the cities of Warsaw, Krakow,
Lodz and Lublin as well as the Chassidic centers of
Gur and Lezajsk. We will also tell the story of the
Shoah visiting Auschwitz, Majdanek, Belzec, and other
moving and significant sites. We wish to preserve the
intimacy of this experience and so space will be
limited. There will also be an opportunity to
personalize the itinerary if requests are received early
enough.
