Natural Disaster

An illness or disorder that affects a particular species

Disease

A widespread occurrence of an infectious disease in a community at a particular time

Epidemic

A person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster

Refugee

Definitions: A violently rotating column of air that is touching the ground and the clouds above it

Tornadoes

Examples•Happen all over the world•Very common in the Midwest and Plains States•In Early March 2012, 11 people were killed in Indiana because of tornadoes

Hurricane Katrina

Definition: A sudden and violent shaking of the ground, sometimes causing great destruction, as a result of movements within the earth's crust

Earthquakes
