In July 1942 9,000 acres burned
Seeding studies were conducted
No protection was given from grazing between 1942-48
July 1948 study data indicates many big sagebrush plants established on the site with a very poor distribution of seeded species. Seeded species included tall, Siberian, crested, bluebunch, thickspike, and western wheatgrasses; bulbous and big bluegrass; Indian ricegrass
and tall fescue.
