My customer is an adventurous man who has a wild rock and roll spirit fused with practical and creative tenancies. He Loves rock music, con-certs, new experiences and is ready for anything. He dress-es with style, he is a practical eccentric and his wardrobe re-flects this. He is nostalgic for the golden age of rock and roll but takes advantage of the world of technology that surrounds him.

The cinematographic quality of super 8 film and early colour photography have a beautiful saturation and almost sepia quality to them- like looking through John Lennon’s glasses into a grey world and seeing it with rose-tinted optimism.

Inspired by the texture of the grip surfaces en-

countered on boats and the techniques used, such as bond-ing and sealing. Lead to experimentation and the

technique of silicone coating has been developed to

emulate these textures on both woven and non woven fabrics.

The use of technological plastics fabrics is also fundamental to my

collection . i plan on using up to date fabrics . This has been inspired by 60s

designers like COurrèges and contemporary brands such as burb-

erry, louis vuitton, nike and matthew miller. But also the 60s product de-

signers such as verneer pantone who used plastics for the first

time on a consumable and functional level in everyday objects

‘Blow ‘ chair by Scolari, De Pas, D’Urbino and Lomazzi,inspired by a rubbe dingy.

tailoringi have decided to not use tai-lored jackets as i feel for such a small collection it does not fit into the feel of what i am trying to create as a functional but elegant collection even with the addition of hardwear. i feel these are details that would be stronger on fully functional outerwear garments such as parkers and raincoats.
